Abstract

Patient post-incision surgery (tissue incision) experience pain with varying degrees, almost 80% of post-operative patients experience acute pain complaints after the effects of the anesthetic are lost, the pain will increase in the presence of an inflammation or infection. Pain after surgery is caused by mechanical stimulation of wounds that cause the body to produce pain chemical mediators. Pain can be reduced or stopped with two therapies, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be used is five-finger hypnosis, which can reduce the pain scale in patients. The purpose of this paper is to get an overview the implementations of five finger hypnosis therapy to reduce pain for post operative of laparotomy digestive surgery.
